yup....we really had fun having Ketut as our tour driver. We enjoyed chatting with him and he's very friendly. During the trip to watch dolphins, he has to stay awake just to bring us there 3am in the morning. And trust me, he is a safe driver!

Exploring Bali with my childhood best friends, and especially with my beloved boyfriend of 8 years, has been one of the most memorable event of my life. Having Mr. Ketut as our tour guide has made it even more worthwhile and memorable. I had many bad experiences with various tour guides, therefore, it's natural for me to have a biased perception of Ketut before meeting him. The moment we entered the lobby (I was preparing to wait for the guide), and the nice little man stood up with a genuine smiled to greet us, all of my biasness diminished immediately. He was exceptionally punctual and soft-spoken for a tour guide. He started by explaining about the places that he feels that we as tourist should visit, and sought for our opinions on which itenary we would prefer. Then, he brought us to many interesting places, which I believed those commercialised tourist agencies would prefer to skip. First of all, we went to watch the local traditional Barong dance, which is an eye-opener for the tourist, the exceptionally beautiful and peaceful Balinese homes, the balinese coffee plantations, lunch with an amazing view of the volcano, Kintamani, and a quiet and beautiful temple. Throughout the tour, Ketut who is a very knowledgeable man filled us with lots of details and history of Bali, the religion of Hinduism, and etc. He also made sure that we are not being cheated by the sleazy sellers all over the places! The next day, we had to leave at 3.30am in the morning. Expecting Ketut to be late due to the previous day's late tour, we realised that Ketut did not return home at all! Instead he slept in the van, because he's afraid he won't be able to make it for us to catch the sunrise for the dolphin tour. All in, I have only praises for this man who is honest, genuine, charges reasonably and going all out to please the tourists, leaving us with a sweet memory of Bali. I highly recommend Ketut. In my past trips to Bali i have seen a lot of the main tourist things and wanted to show my partner the real bali. Ketut took us to some places that are not the nomral tourist areas. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and speaks pretty good english. He would take the time to explan about the Balineses philosophy and beliefs along with the cultural side of things. Some of the many interesting things he showed us were Balinese funeral/cremation ceremony, the rice fields and also showed and explained how the rice is grown/processed from the begining to the end product. His prices are very reasonable. Also last but not least he is one of the very few private drivers who have a satisfaction guarantee, he asks at the end of each day if you enjoyed the day etc, if you didn't you don't have to pay.
